Experience our authentic Italian lime paint
Lime paint is the oldest paint in existence. It is a natural, environmentally friendly product that 'breathes'. Powdery and soft and very suitable for creating a warm atmosphere. The basis for Calcare Italia is still traditionally prepared in Italy and colored with natural mineral pigments.
Our lime paint is an authentic product that is carefully made in Italy in a traditional way . In the Veneto region, good quality lime is extracted and burned and slaked in a traditional way. The limestone is burned very slowly in vertical cylindrical ovens. This slow burning process ensures a high quality lime. After about 1 day, there is almost only lime powder left, which is brought to rest in silos for about a month and slaked in a natural way.
After this it goes into a lime pit and is quenched with water. The hydraulic part of the lime reacts to the water, petrifies and is scooped out, leaving a pure and environmentally friendly product. This is repeated several times until a very pure product remains, the fatty lime. In the factory in Italy, this fatty lime is sieved again and then mixed with water and other elements to a high-quality lime paint. This entire process of our lime paint takes an average of 12 months and that is reflected in the appearance of our lime paint on your walls and ceilings.

Very environmentally friendly, 100% eco and vegan paint, sustainable ensures a healthy living environment
Application
Calcare Italia lime paint is a wall and ceiling paint that can only be used indoors.
Preparation
Make sure you prepare well before you start painting. Make sure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, dust and grease free. Thoroughly clean previously painted dirty walls with clean water and Universol. Where necessary, fill unevenness in the walls and seal the seams with acrylic sealant. Do this before priming the walls and/or ceilings. Tip: Acrylic sealant (Sudal acryrub CF2)
Apply
Calcare is an ecological and natural product, so it is very important to always use a primer first. The primer ensures good adhesion and that dirty stains, filler spots, sealant etc. cannot get through the lime paint.
Apply one layer Primer Di Muro on, this primer provides the best base for the Calcare Italia. Allow the primer to dry thoroughly for at least 4 hours and then always apply 2 layers of Calcare Italia lime paint on. Allow layer 1 to dry for at least 5 hours and then apply layer 2 of Calcare Italia.

You must allow a drying time of at least 7 days for the Calcare Italia before you apply it. Matt Vernice can be applied.
